Measures neurofilament light chain (NfL), a protein released when nerve cells are damaged. Evaluates conditions like ALS, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and the impact of concussions and other brain injuries.
Ideal for: History of concussions or traumatic brain injury, athletes who have experienced head impacts, individuals involved in car accidents or significant falls, people with unexplained neurological symptoms, those concerned about neurodegenerative disease risk, and anyone requiring ongoing neurological monitoring during treatment or recovery.
May help explain: Fatigue, memory issues, balance problems, slowed thinking, headaches, or neurological changes.
Next steps after results: Inflammation and sleep management. Follow up with a specialist depending on results and progress.
Suggested frequency: Every 3–6 months when monitoring symptoms or treatment response, or as recommended by a doctor
