Assesses bone health and screens for conditions like osteoporosis, hyperparathyroidism, and multiple myeloma. Uses markers related to calcium balance, bone turnover, and immune activity to identify underlying bone or metabolic issues.
Ideal for: Aging adults, especially women, family history of osteoporosis, vitamin D or calcium deficiency, abnormal DEXA scan results, or abnormal immune activity
May help explain: Bone pain, frequent fractures, or musculoskeletal discomfort
Next steps after results: Increasing vitamin D and calcium intake, supporting bone health with nutrition and resistance training, potential followup with a clincian
Suggested frequency: Every 3–6 months during treatment; annually for those with risk factors
